13 Best Hydrating Serums and Moisturisers of 2022

The golden rule of skincare is to moisturise.  By having adequate moisture underneath the skin, your skin looks luminous with elasticity and so is capable of tackling all other skin problems such as dark spots, aging etc. Thus, hydrating serums and moisturisers are always the best-sellers in counters. Of course, if you are lucky to have normal skin, good lifestyle habits and drink a lot of water everyday, you may just need the basics covered to maintain your healthy skin, like a face wash, toner and gentle moisturiser. However, if you have unstable rest time and wish to have an instant yet magical effect, then hydrating serums are your vanity staples! 1. The correct steps of using hydrating serum: 
Clean your face throughly first then put on toner. When it is about to soak up, apply your hydrating serum. Remember to put on moisturiser right after as most hydrating serums are light in texture, it can’t lock up moisture underneath skin perfectly, while moisturiser will work on that for a more effective result. 

2. Only use one serum each time:
There are oodles of serums with various functions on the market, ranging from anti-aging, whitening and reducing dark spots etc but we can’t be too greedy. Just use one serum at one time to avoid overloading and allergic reactions. 

If you really want to try two different serums, you can choose to use them separately, one at daytime and one at nighttime. If it is for whitening, it is always suggested to use at night whilst using a hydrating serum in the morning.

3. Only use one new product each time:
Most hydrating serums are mildly formulated and seldom cause any sensitive reactions. But when you are about to try a new serum, it is always suggested to try it on a small area first to ensure no allergic reactions, then you are safe to apply it on your face. In addition, do not use more than one new product each time. If you want to put on a newly bought serum, you’d better use the same moisturiser right after.
